Read, Color and Draw – On one page is a drawing of an outline of a house. On the opposite is a list of 20 items. Students read the instructions to draw or color each of the 20 items.
Can You Find the Hidden Things? – There are eight items mentioned in the song lyrics that are hidden in this picture. Can you find all of them?
Noun or Verb? – Using words from the song lyrics, place an “N” or a “V” in front of each word to identify whether the word is a noun or verb. After completing that step, then count the number of nouns and the number of verbs and write the answers in the spaces indicated. Are there more nouns or verbs? (Answer key is provided.)
Write Your Own Story – Students can write a response prompted by the question, “What would you like to do outside on a beautiful day?”
